Bramston Goldsmithing was founded by jewellery designer, goldsmith and gemmologist Shelley Bramston. Fascinated by gemstones and jewellery since childhood, Shelley began her jewellery career in 2000 after completing a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in Ancient Near Eastern Studies. Intrigued by the symbolism and enduring nature of jewellery in ancient cultures, she enrolled in the intensive Jewellery Arts program at George Brown College in Toronto, focused on traditional goldsmithing techniques. Upon graduating with Honours, she pursued the study of gemmology leading to Fellowship certification by both the Canadian and British Gemmological Associations.
