About the final selection of the poems:


A special Ruby Mardi committee, consisting of 6 members from diverse backgrounds, genders and ages, gathered to read the 112 poems we received and select 10 for the final vote without knowing who wrote them. We hope you will love them!

Poems exceeding the 150-word limit were automatically disqualified. The selected poems were chosen for the emotion they evoked, the melody of the text, or the unique perspective they offered on the topic, which surprised, moved, shocked, or amused us.

A huge thank you to all participants for sharing a piece of your soul with us. It was an honor to read your work, and it was difficult to choose from these beautiful poems. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

A vote is being held on Instagram, and the winner will be announced on February 14th, 2025.
